No, I don’t need other’s approval

Hi, dreamers! It’s Natascha here from

Today I am going to be talking about Validation. We tend to seek for validation from people close to us when we are about to make a change in our lives, or when we are about to take a big decision. I have gone past that level of seeking any form of validation. I am not talking about validation from my husband or children, we work together as a family and take decisions together. I am talking about validation from friends and families. I no longer seek their approval.

Yan and I were in Australia for our honeymoon in 2001. We loved Australia at the time (still loves Australia) we could really feel that this is where we would love to live. We would have loved to stay back at the time, we could not. Maybe due to family pressure. We went back to Switzerland but we had it at the back of our minds, that Australia is our home. It took us ten years before we finally migrated to Australia.

In retrospect, we can understand what the situation was at that time. We were looking for approval. I am not suggesting that we got any approval lol, but we most definitely got matured and make our decisions without waiting for any sort of approval. This is our past, though we lost some time, we have no regrets.

Life is always teaching us lessons, and for us, it was a really big lesson. Do not wait for validation. If you feel it is right for you, go for it! Don’t wait for validation that you might never really get. This is something we have learnt as far back as 2001 and has guided our decision making processes.

When I talk to people, a lot of people pay too much mind to what other people think.  Truth is, it is your life and not theirs. If they really like you, they will understand your choice. You do not need approval from them to live the life you have always dreamed of. I hope this helps.

xx Don’t only dream your life, live your dream xx
Yours in inspiration, NC
